Troubleshooting
Glows or flashes when switched off
3 checks, sorted by how often they are the cause. For all WLED controllers with ESP32.
Check in this order: the most common and simplest cause comes first. Usually the cause is found after two or three steps.
Most common cause
Enable Off Refresh LED Preferences → “Off Refresh”: WLED keeps sending “black” even when off. That usually cures glowing and flashing at once.

Use the relay
Controllers with relays disconnect the strip from power when off. That also saves standby power.
Check ground and data line
Interference on the data line is read as commands. Connect GND, keep the data line short.
Safety
Disconnect the PSU from mains before working on cables. Work on the 230 V side only by a qualified electrician.
